USTA Boys' 18 & 16 National Clay Courts
Huey and Querry Draw Top Billing

The seedings have been released for this year's USTA Boys' 18 and 16 Clay Court Tennis Championships to be hosted by Woodmont and Congressional Country Clubs beginning Sunday, 7/18.

In the Boys' 18 Singles, the home Mid-Atlantic Section has Treat Huey of Alexandria, VA seeded 1st and Jason Pinsky of Potomac, MD seeded 3rd. Treat and Jason have both been top ranked in the USTA Standings for most of this year. The 2nd seed went to Daniel Yoo of Davie, FL, who was a finalist in the Easter Bowl National Championships earlier this year. The 4th seed is Michael Samara of Sarasota, FL, who is the highest ranked ITF player competing in this year's championships.

Southern California's Sam Querry is the top seed on the Boys' 16 Singles. He is followed by 2nd seed Spencer Vegosen of Chicago, IL, 3rd seed Kellen Damico of Parker, CO, and 4th seed Rook Schellenberg of Dallas, TX. Sam won the Easter Bowl National Championships in April and just won his SoCal Sectionals last month.

The Championships will be played at several clubs north of the DC area. It begins on Sunday, July 18th, and runs through the following Sunday, July 25th. The semis and finals are scheduled the 24th and 25th at the beautiful Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, MD. Admission on all days is free.
