TOURNAMENT COMPLETED EXCEPT TWO MATCHES
All but two matches were completed before the rain came again. Considering how much rain we had over the last two weekends, it was quite amazing that we nearly finished, and thanks to everyone for their patience. Special thanks to everyone who squeegeed,those that were willing to play again without much rest, to the Novato Tennis Club folks who helped at Pioneer, to Avie for helping run the RHC desk, and of course to Birdie for everything she does to provide us all with food and hostessing.
TOURNAMENT PLAYER PARTY
There will be a Tournament Player Party (catered dinner and beer, wine, sodas) for all participants on Friday evening, March 31, from 6pm to 9pm. Even if you're not playing on Friday night, you are invited to the party. It will be held in the Adult Lounge at Rolling Hills. If you are not playing on Friday night, March 31, you must sign up for the party by calling the Front Desk @ 897-2185. Guests (non players) are invited and it is a $18 charge which includes dinner and drinks.
WEATHER PROBLEMS
Never assume the Tournament is canceled. Please call Rolling Hills, 897-2185, for a weather update. We will do everything possible to complete the tournament, even if it means changing the scoring format for early round matches. You may also call 606-2919 for information as well.
SCORING, RULES, ETC.
Unless otherwise noted, all regular matches are two of three, regular scoring sets. There is a consolation round in the singles so that each player is guaranteed two matches. All consolation matches are two sets and a 10 point Super Tie-Breaker for the 3rd set. Doubles substitutions may be made at the last minute as long as the new player is of the correct rating or level.
