About "The Games"
Developed to promote "grassroots" sport and quality of life for athletes of a variety of backgrounds, ages, and skill levels. As a member of the NCSG, a community-based, multi-sport member of the United States Olympic Committee , the Georgia Games is committed to enhance and promoite participations in amatuer sports like racquetball! List of Events and How to Enter
There are 44 events in all for all ages and skills. Use the Reports tab on the left of this screen to view the list of events offered. To enter this special event, you should click on the 'more info" link that follows and then, once there, just follow the prompts, By entering on-line you will also get a $2 discount. more info
The Club
One of the most beautiful multi-sport, full service facilities in the Atlanta area -- The Athletic Club Northeast -- is making itself available for this special event. They have already re-finished the court floors and walls. Karen Foley, the General Manager hopes to make this facilities a new place for future racquetball events. Even if you don't play, come a watch and see what a top notch club really looks like. Click on "Sites" and/or "more info" below for added info on the club. more info
Awards and Hospitality
All players will receive an official Georgia Games T-Shirt. Gold, silver, and bronze medals in all events. Only players from Georgia may enter, but for an aadded $5, players from TN and SC may also enter play. But, no Georgia player will be displaced by an out-of-state player -- duplicate medals will be awarded. Both a male and female sportsmanship award will be oresented. Hospitality will be limited to an energy replacement drink, but there is a healthy snack bar and many nearby restaurants of all types.
